Ground Anchors
We specialize in design and construction of complex anchors including working below the water table, anchorages in soft soils, pressure grouting & post grouting and multi point anchors (SBMAs). We can advise on the most appropriate type of anchor for each project including strand, bar, self drilling bar, glassfibre and removable anchors. For checklifting and re-stressable anchors we can advise on the comparative benefits of long strand projection head blocks vs externally threaded head blocks.
We carry out anchor testing to AS4678, AS5100, BS8081, EN1537 and EN ISO 22477-5 together with the proprietary standards of our customers.
We have installed anchors in basement excavations, within and below existing structures, for heritage structures and marine dolphins, from floating barges, in tunnels, road and bridge sites, from the crest of dams and their spillways and for windmills.
