Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to be a part of some of the most specialised and unique ground engineering projects in Australia.

With a range of projects underway and on the horizon RIX Ground Engineering are looking to expand our team and employ an experienced Project Engineer:

Job Description
Management of project quality, in particular:

• Successfully interpret specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
• Determine and monitor suitability of construction methods
• Organise and direct deliveries of construction materials, plant and equipment to/from site
• Coordinate site activities to align with project program
• Correspondence between clients and site team
• Monitor actual ground conditions vs expected conditions
• Identify any changes throughout projects and report to RGE management
• Maintain as built records on a weekly basis (including specification, design, progress)
• Implement ITP
• Oversee construction and operations onsite
• Manage time sufficiently across each site to understand methodologies, resources and production rates

Commercial management, in particular:

• Manage progress claims
• Monitoring changes to designs and negotiating differentiations through variation claims
• Extension of time claims
• Monitor site resources, report to RGE management

Qualification & Skills

• Must successfully hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree or similar, with a major in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Project/Civil Engineer.
• Must have previous onsite experience.
• Ability to manage and report on project outcomes.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team at RGE
• Attention to detail.
• Effective time management.
• Effective communication and literary skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite is ideal.
• Ability to cope with competing demands across several sites and successfully prioritise outcomes.
